Welcome to MDmind, an artificial intelligence-based educational evidence platform for healthcare. By accessing or using the MDmind platform, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with any of the provisions contained herein, we recommend that you do not use our services.

1. Definitions

  • "Platform" refers to MDmind, including its website, applications and other digital services.
  • "User" refers to any person who accesses or uses the MDmind Platform.
  • "Health Professional" refers to doctors, nurses and other health professionals duly qualified.
  • "Content" refers to any information, text, images, graphics, audio, video or other material made available on the Platform.
  • "Artificial Intelligence (AI)" refers to the system that generates educational evidence summaries with citations from scientific literature.

2. Platform Purpose

MDmind's purpose is to provide educational and informational evidence summaries, based on published medical literature and guidelines, with verifiable citations. MDmind does not provide diagnosis or treatment decisions, does not perform triage or risk scoring for clinical decision-making, and does not replace professional judgment. Outputs may be incomplete, outdated, or not applicable to specific clinical contexts. Users must verify cited sources and apply independent clinical judgment.


3. Eligibility and Registration

3.1. Requirements

  • Use of the Platform is permitted for individuals over 18 years of age, especially healthcare professionals and healthcare students.
  • The user must provide truthful and updated information when registering on the Platform.

3.2. Account Confidentiality and Security

  • The user is responsible for maintaining the security of their account, including passwords and access credentials.
  • Any activity performed under the user's account will be their responsibility.
  • If you suspect unauthorized access, the user must notify MDmind immediately by email admin@mdmind.ai.

4. Platform Use

4.1. User Responsibilities

  • The user agrees to use the Platform ethically and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • It is prohibited to insert, store or share false, inaccurate or misleading information on the Platform.
  • The user must not submit patient-identifying information (e.g., name, contact details, document numbers, full-face photos, medical record numbers). If submitted, MDmind may remove it to protect privacy.

4.2. Limitations and Disclaimer

  • MDmind is for EDUCATIONAL and INFORMATIONAL purposes only. It does not provide medical diagnosis, does not replace consultation with a health professional, and must NOT be used as a substitute for professional judgment or as the sole basis for any clinical decision.
  • Content generated by AI must not be interpreted as medical advice, diagnosis, or a treatment recommendation. The information may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, or not applicable to a specific patient or clinical situation. Users must verify cited sources and apply independent professional judgment.
  • MDmind is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition. Clinical decisions should always be made by qualified healthcare professionals based on their independent professional judgment.
  • The Platform and its operators are not responsible for any decisions, actions, or outcomes based on MDmind's responses, including but not limited to any harm, injury, or damages resulting from reliance on the information provided.
  • In case of a medical emergency, do NOT use MDmind. Contact your local emergency services immediately.

5. Privacy and Data Protection

MDmind respects user privacy and adopts measures to protect their data, including sensitive health-related information. The processing of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which must be read in conjunction with these Terms of Use.


6. Intellectual Property

All rights to Platform content, including software, algorithms, interface and available materials, are the exclusive property of MDmind or its licensors. Use of the Platform does not grant the user any rights over its intellectual property.


7. Modifications to Terms of Use

MDmind reserves the right to modify, update, or change these Terms of Use at any time, with or without prior notice. Changes become effective immediately upon posting to the Platform. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically. Your continued use of the Platform after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms of Use.


8. Account Termination and Suspension

MDmind reserves the right to suspend or terminate the user's account in case of violation of these Terms of Use.


9. General Provisions

9.1. Applicable Law

These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of Brazil. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of Joinville, Santa Catarina, Brazil, with waiver of any other, however privileged it may be.
